Winter Semester at Baker

Winter semester at Baker officially kicks off tomorrow! During the first session, I will be taking Java Programming I and Discrete Mathematics. During the second session I will be taking Advanced Java Programming. I look forward to learning Java since some of its uses follow my own interests. Java is used as an embedded platform on cell phones, it is being used in Google’s Android, and it is being used on BluRay discs and players to name a few of its uses which interest me.

Back to the daily grind, huh? I’m getting a gen ed Sociology credit out of the way this term, and it looks like it will be an interesting class (and a respite from Baker’s apparent inability to update course documents for their CS classes; web server admin was a pain).

I just started a new job, so perhaps I won’t drop off the face of the earth as often; still interested in a geek-fest at some point, even though it’s a few months overdue?
